SFWP Shortlist! Plus Pubs, a Reading, and an Interview

It’s been kind of a crazy week since my last talk story! I had a wonderful workshop last Saturday (EST) with Crow Collective and I hope that everyone who attended were able to write something new and exciting!

I got wonderful news last night before I went to sleep - my micro/flash/short story collection is on the shortlist for the Santa Fe Writers Project 2024 Literary Prize!! Please send me all the good juju and vibes you got! Three spots out of 30!

Today, I have a slice of a 6-sentence story in Gooseberry Pie Lit Magazine. I hope read “Paradise” filled with a ghost of a lion and my hometown.

Two pieces went live this past weekend too in The Argyle Literary Magazine. “‘86” is a breathless reminder of the 80s and “Tita’s Sister’s Boyfriend” is filled with the yearning of a first crush. If you missed them earlier this week, I hope you check them out!

I also recorded a reading for my two micros in The Ilanot Review! Click HERE for the video! If you haven’t had the chance to watch, I hope you do!

Finally, I have a little interview about Kahi and Lua in Speaking of Marvels. Thank you Will Woolfitt for asking to participate! I really appreciate it!

Fundraiser update!! According to Ko-Fi, I’m at 41% of my goal! That’s unbelievable to me!

Between everyone’s generosity, my publications, workshops, postcards, flash feedback, Wine & Words, I am way further ahead than I thought I’d be!

April’s Wine & Words is filled but May in the UK and June in the US still have lots of spots, so join me! I also have a plural POV workshop in May with Crow Collective which should open for registration on April 1.

I am filled with so much gratitude. Thank you so very much! Sending light and love and all the creativity!
