The Awesomeness Of Our Community, Mondettes, and My Third Acceptance

I want to start this week’s talk story with a massive shoutout to the people in our writing community.

Thank you to every single person who has booked a workshop, bought a postcard, asked for feedback, or just sent me money. Every time a donation comes in for my fundraiser for AWP, I literally cry because I never thought I would receive even half as much as I have. You are all amazing and I truly appreciate every one of you! I want to see all of you at AWP next year!

According to Ko-fi, I’m at 20% of my goal and that is so damn awesome. At this rate, I will at least have my plane ticket covered, and I still have a year to keep working on my goal! Crossing my fingers for some contests, grants and paid publications to roll my way!

This week I had the honor of participating in Matt Kendrick’s Mondettes. Check out my choices and get some prompts! It was definitely a challenge choosing and talking about them. I went with recent work because I think sometimes those get lost in the social media shuffle.

Finally, I got my third acceptance of the year (I’m at 43 rejections so my acceptance ratio isn’t so great but that’s okay). Look for two micros in March!

Again, thank you to everyone who has helped me! You all are legends (as the Brits like to say). Sending light and love and creativity!

PS: I still have a couple of spots open for my Flex Your Creativity workshop! Join us!
