Last Day Of My Road Trip to the Kii Peninsula

Today is my last day of my epic 8-day road trip through Nagano, Gifu, Aichi, Mie, Wakayama, Nara and Shiga. We head back to Gunma in a few hours. It’s been wonderful but also exhausting. The last few days a heat wave hit the area and it’s been a struggle not to get heat stroke while riding our motorcycles.

Ago Bay

We visited so many beautiful places. Rode along the famous Nakasendo and beautiful rivers, through scary long tunnels in the many mountains and their twisting curves. Enjoyed epic views of Ago Bay and saw all the cute deer in Nara.

I’m ready to sleep in my own bed lol but I am hoping that when I recover I will feel refreshed and renewed and if not… there’s still Obon week in mid-August.
