Saying Yes When Maybe I Should Say No

Part of my growth as a writer was (is) to say yes to any writing (and now editing) opportunity that came my way.

At first, it was easy to say yes. I had headspace and most importantly time, but now, things have gotten busier and my commitments more time consuming (and brain consuming), and I wonder if it’s time to say no, sometimes.

I guess I am worried about being seen as someone who isn’t approachable. I feel that I am approachable, but I also know that if I take too much on, I might not be able to fulfill the tasks I am doing right now.

It’s something I keep coming back to and I am not sure how to approach this particular issue in my writing life.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
