Prairie Schooner Pub, Acceptance from SoFloPoJo and Bitter Over Sweet Reviews
I know that I have already celebrated all over social media but yay for my micro, “No Be Like Those Kine Men,” being in Prairie Schooner! I know many of you know that I have been aiming high with my work and sometimes it’s straight rejection city and other times tiered and rarely accepted at places like this, so I am just grateful someone saw something in my work. I know that it’s a print publication so many of you might not be able to read it, but maybe they will post it online sometime in the future.
I woke up to an acceptance from South Florida Poetry Journal, which was nice after my little sub spree yesterday. I haven’t been submitting or writing for a few months and I had a few pieces that had been rejected and I finally had the brain space to submit.
Honestly, it’s been a hard year, creatively speaking. With Bitter Over Sweet’s launch and promo and becoming a senior editor at SmokeLong Quarterly, I have been just a little overwhelmed. I am hoping for a recharge and reset with new priorities but who knows… I’m just doing my best.
If you’ve bought my book and have read it, I would love if you would consider putting a review up at the evil online store or the good ones… even Goodreads would help. And if anyone wants to write a book review for any of the journals that publish them, please let me know!
As always, I hope you are all doing well. Sending love, light and creativity (and hope some of it comes back my way).
