The Place Formerly Known as Twitter, My First Workshop, and Craft Essays

So it seems more of my friends and fellow writers are leaving the dumpster fire that is Twitter/X…which I knew was coming but still makes me very sad. I am not sure what the online literary landscape will look like without it but I guess that’s where we are heading. I worry for the literary magazines and journals that depend on it for readership and promotion. I worry for my own work not getting any eyes too but I guess we will see how it all unfolds… will stick it out until the end, roasting marshmallows and making s’mores.

This weekend I will be “teaching” my first workshop! I’m anxious but excited. I hope that it’s a generative, creative and safe space for everyone with lots of art, music, meditation and writing. Hope to tell you all about it next week. Thank you to all of you who signed up! You are awesome!

Finally, this week I have been struggling with my essay for my Craft publication coming out on November 17. My original submission was lacking and my latest rewrite has too much. I hope to find a balance today and send it in. Cross your fingers for me.

I hope that you are having a good week and if not, hugs. Sending light, love and creativity, always.
